The Hotel — Old English Charm
Cameron Highlands Resort is set 1,500 meters above sea level in a forested mountainscape. Built as a long extension from an existing 1930s cottage with architecture dating from the 1070s. Promising romance, splendour and wistfulness, the interiors hark back to its colonial heritage with timber-beamed ceilings, tall French doors and plantation shutters combined with the hues and textures of Jim Thompson’s famed Asian silks. The Location — A little piece of England
Cameron Highlands was discovered in 1885 by William Cameron, a British Government surveyor on a mapping expedition but failed to mark his discovery. In 1925, Sir George Maxwell recorded Cameron's discovery and developed it as a hill station attracting British colonials and expatriates. British growers who understood the capability of its fertile mountain slants for growing tea.

See & Do — A Mystery Trail
Jim Thompson is an American businessman and famed for his revival of the Thai silk industry. He also had an adoration for nature and the countryside. On 26 March 1967, he set out from the Moonlight Cottage for a mid-afternoon walk in the jungle and was gone forever. The Cameron Highlands Resort signature trail combines his passion for the encompassong slopes with the mysterious circumstances of his disappearance.
