Heavy smog in Shanghai likely to disrupt travel in coming days; reconfirm flights

Guests travelling to and from Shanghai’s international airports on 14-15 February should reconfirm flight schedules due to the risk of disruption caused by dense smog. Thick smog has resulted in flight delays and cancellations at the Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG) and the Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport (SHA) on 14 February.

The China Meteorological Administration (CMA) has issued an orange alert (the second highest in the four-tier colour-coded warning system) for Shanghai, warning of dense fog and poor visibility, which is likely to persist in the coming days.
