Sightseeing

Itinerary

Feast your eyes on the panoramic view of Penang Island as you ascend to the top by funicular railway. Enjoy its beautiful fauna and flora in the cool and invigorating air. Rising over 800m above sea level, Penang Hill provides a cool retreat and a good view over the Island.

Visit the largest Buddhist temple in Southeast Asia, the Kek Lok Si Temple, also known as the “Temple of Supreme Bliss”. Enjoy a breath taking sight of the Gigantic Goddess of Mercy Bronze Statue overlooking the entire temple precinct and its vicinity, then take a stroll up the seven-storey Pagoda which houses over 10,000 Buddha statues.

Lastly, enjoy a break for an afternoon tea at Suffolk House, which is the only surviving Georgian mansion in Malaysia which was originally built in the 1800’s. It has a stunning Anglo-Indian garden house and was once the home of successive British governors. If you’re the follower on the UK’s most expensive television drama series “Indian Summer” to be made by far, Suffolk House is featured widely as the VICEREGAL LODGE. Look-out.
